TATTOO AFTERCARE

Congratulations!

You got your very own tattoo. If this is your first one, read carefully now, because it will probably not be your last.

The healing process of your new tattoo will take between 14-21 days.

Even after the healing process it is important to take care of your tattoos.

Here are some general tips for life-long lasting tattoos:

† Hydrate: Water is good for your skin and tattoo. Moisturize often.

Hygiene: Keep tattoo clean to avoid infections. Respect the healing process.

Sunscreen: Exposure to sunlight will fade your tattoo over the years. After healing, apply factor 45+ generously.

† Inform: If you notice something strange or have any questions about your tattoo, just contact me.

It's just a flesh wound...

Caring for your tattoo can prevent complications and ensure that the tattoo heals properly. Both you and me play equal roles in this process. I will make sure to keep it clean and professional during the session - you need to take good care of your tattoo at home.

To achieve the best colours and longer-living tattoos, good tattoo care is essential. You will be gifted a flacon of vegan Balm Tattoo to help you on your way.

And if you need a guide for the next few weeks after the session. Follow these steps to heal flawlessly:

Aftercare instructions:
1

The wrap foil is meant to protect your tattoo until you get home. Leave it on for an hour to catch any leaks the tattoo might have.

If you have a special tattoo bandage or 'second skin'. Leave this on for 5 days.

2

After removing the film, you will want to wash your tattoo. Use antibacterial soap to gently wash away any ointment, blood and/or plasma and completely clean the area. Do not use a washcloth or anything abrasive, your hand is fine.

3

Pat dry (do not rub dry) the area firmly with a CLEAN towel or paper towel to get it completely dry.

4

Follow up with application of tattoo aftercare cream. Apply a small amount on the skin and rub it in gently to create a thin layer of balm. The tattoo should be shiny, yet clearly visible.

5

Make sure the tattoo is constantly moisturized and never left dry for the next 5-7 days! Drink plenty of water.

Important   !

If you leave it dry, you will not be able to get it moisturized again. This can create a scab and possibly take the ink out, resulting in a muddy heal!

It’s important to keep your tattoo clean during the healing process, especially in the first 7 days.

The healing process of your new tattoo will be 14-21 days. Its very important that you do not scratch the area or pull off the pealing skin.

For the first 2 weeks do not bathe, take a shower instead. During this time no swimming, jacuzzi, saunas or steam rooms.

No long exposure to sunlight or tanning - only after your tattoo is completely healed!

If you have any pets at home, keep them away from your fresh tattoo.
